Welcome to the Lakelands Master Gardener Website
The Lakelands Master Gardeners Association (LMGA) is a non-profit
organization that is affiliated with the Clemson University Extension Service.
The Lakelands Master Gardener program serves all people regardless of socioeconomic
level, race, color, sex, religion, disability or national origin.
Education
If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener and would like to be sent
additional information about the classes and orientation, please contact the Clemson
Extension Office in Greenwood at 864-223-3264 (Monday through Friday).
The classes are held once per week for 14 weeks, and cover a broad range of horticulture
subjects. There is a test given each week and a final exam. Upon completion, the student
is REQUIRED to volunteer 40 hours their first year to complete their Master Gardener
Certification.
